Emotion: Energy, In Motion

The way we handle our emotions in adulthood can often be traced (you don’t usually have to go far) back to our childhood.

Maybe happiness was celebrated… Or maybe happiness couldn’t be trusted, just in case things went wrong….

Emotions such as sadness, fear and anger may have been muted - so as not to upset you - or maybe they were the opposite and they felt dangerous and unpredictable.

Having a healthy emotional range is something that we learn and when we work together this is something I invite you to explore.

My own experience was to keep my feelings in and then they would usually explode way further down the track, so that when they did, the people around me would be confused - as I never said anything at the time. My word would flow out with tears - because in some way I felt that if I cried it softened the blow of my true feelings.

Are you somebody who struggles to show emotion? Emotion = energy in motion ⚡️

Left unexplored the dynamics show up again over and over again in fact… In the boss, in the friendship in the partnerships. Or we get ill… Often in the place we feel blocked. As a kid I frequently got throat infections, tonsillitis and as an adult I developed an underactive thyroid and had a vocal cord nodule removed.. it took a while to get the message;)

That’s why sound is so important and such a essential part of the work we do together.

Imagine going to the bottom of your garden at the end of the day bending your knees and placing your hands on them and making a long powerful sound. letting it move through your body like a wave.. a scream, a roar, a note.. without worrying about your mental health or being concerned that someone else will!

'If you could make some sound now and you knew that no one was listening - what sound would you make?'

You might be surprised. Under that sound, so often is tears and as we move that energy through our throat - we feel so much clearer.

That’s where the magic is :)

If you could make some sound now and you knew that no one was listening - what sound would you make?

What would happen if you gave yourself permission?
